Leapmotor C10 CKD at RM125,000: back to the old CBU price

The ACE 2026 price is not a new low. It is the price the imported C10 already carried in 2025.

TL;DR
Paultan.org reports that the locally assembled Leapmotor C10 lists at RM129,000 and sells for RM125,000 at ACE 2026 (31 Oct to 1 Nov).
RM125,000 is the price of the imported (CBU) C10 from June 2025. Local assembly first raised the price by RM4,000. The show discount removes that rise.
On price per km of quoted range, the C10 is fourth of the five cars we compare, by our arithmetic.
In the CKD vs CBU price question, the Leapmotor C10 gives a clear answer: local assembly did not make it cheaper. The CKD car from Gurun, Kedah lists at RM129,000, and the ACE 2026 offer brings it to RM125,000. That is the exact price of the imported car in 2025. Looking strictly at the numbers, the show deal undoes a price rise. It does not create a saving.

How has the Leapmotor C10 price changed since 2024?
Date | Event | Price |
|---|---|---|
Oct 2024 | Launch, CBU, until 30 Nov 2024 | RM149,000 |
Dec 2024 | Price after the launch offer | RM159,000 |
Jun 2025 | Price cut, 11 kW AC charger added | RM125,000 |
Jul 2026 | CKD from Gurun, Kedah | RM129,000 |
Oct 2026 | ACE 2026 offer | RM125,000 |

The sources do not fully agree. The July 2026 report gives the original price as RM159,880, while the 2024 and 2025 reports say RM159,000. No report says if the C10 figures are on-the-road prices.
Our arithmetic: RM159,000 - RM125,000 = RM34,000, a 21% fall from the post-launch price. The core hardware did not change in that time. At the 2024 launch and in October 2026, Paultan.org gives the same figures: 218 PS, 320 Nm, 69.9 kWh LFP, 424 km WLTP.
What does the C10 give for the money?
The C10 is the large car in this group. Paultan.org calls it a D-segment SUV, with 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The June 2025 update added a tyre pressure monitor, a tyre inflator kit and a boot cover. It also replaced the 6.6 kW AC charger with an 11 kW unit. The July 2026 report gives the warranty: six years or 150,000 km on the car, and eight years or 160,000 km on the battery.
The weak point is DC charging. The C10 peaks at 84 kW and takes 30 minutes for 30% to 80%. Its smaller sibling, the B10, takes about 20 minutes for the same window at up to 168 kW, Paultan.org reported in September.
How does the C10 compare with its rivals?
Model | Price | Battery | Range (quoted) | DC peak | RM per km of range |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Leapmotor C10 (ACE 2026) | RM125,000 | 69.9 kWh LFP | 424 km (WLTP) | 84 kW | RM295 |
Leapmotor C10 Plus (YOM2025 stock) | RM129,000 | 81.9 kWh LFP | 510 km (WLTP) | 180 kW | RM253 |
Leapmotor B10 Design (ACE 2026) | RM114,800 | 67.1 kWh LFP | 434 km | 168 kW | RM265 |
Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus | RM125,800 | 68.39 kWh | 450 km | 115 kW | RM280 |
BYD Atto 3 Ultra | RM125,800 | 60.48 kWh | 420 km | not stated | RM300 |
Sources: Paultan.org C10 ACE report (16 Oct 2026), C10 Plus report (8 Jul 2026), B10 reports (14 Sep and 13 Oct 2026), and the Paultan.org price guides for the eMas 7 and Atto 3 (checked 17 Oct 2026). Only the C10 rows name the WLTP cycle, so treat the last column as a guide.
Our arithmetic, once: price / range. For example, RM125,000 / 424 km = RM295 per km of range. The C10 beats only the Atto 3 Ultra on this measure.
Two rows need a warning. Paultan.org reported the C10 Plus stock in July as limited, with no unit count and no end date. We could not confirm that stock remains in October. The eMas 7 Premium Plus has a conflict. The price guide lists RM125,800, but its launch headline gives RM119k on the road. Proton also offers an RM7,000 eMas 7 rebate at ACE 2026, Paultan.org reported on 15 Oct. Our list of EVs under RM150,000 covers more of this price band.
Who pays for the CKD vs CBU price gap?
The CKD buyer from July to October pays first. Paultan.org's July report said the CKD C10 cost RM4,000 more than the CBU car it replaced, and as much as the CBU C10 Plus. That buyer paid RM129,000 for a car that a show visitor now gets for RM125,000.
The launch buyer pays more. A C10 bought at RM149,000 in late 2024 now competes on the used market with a new car at RM125,000. Our arithmetic: RM149,000 - RM125,000 = RM24,000. That gap sets the ceiling on residual value, the price an owner can ask when the owner sells.
ACE adds its own layer. Paultan.org says the first 200 confirmed bookings get RM3,000 in vouchers, and every confirmed booking enters a lucky draw with RM57,000 in prizes.
Catherine's take
Local assembly is supposed to lower prices. Here it did the opposite for three months, and a show discount now hides the result. RM125,000 is a fair number for a large SUV with a 69.9 kWh battery and a six-year warranty. It is not a deal. It is the 2025 price returning. The real cost sits with the owners who paid RM149,000 and RM129,000, because each price cut lowers what their cars are worth. The 84 kW DC peak is the trade-off a buyer accepts at this price. A buyer who drives long distances should put that number beside the B10's 168 kW before the deposit.
