Directly from you when you:
  • Create an account as a renter or host

  • List or book a vehicle

  • Contact us with questions or concerns

  • Complete forms or registration

  • Use our website or app


Indirectly from third parties like:
  • Vehicle registration and credit reference agencies

  • Background check agencies

  • Payment processors

  • Business partners like charging station operators


What Data We Collect

All Users

  1. Personal details: name, ID number, nationality, address, date of birth, gender, photo

  2. Contact information: email, phone, mailing address

  3. Financial details: payment method, card information, transaction history

  4. Device information: phone model, operating system, app version

  5. Usage data: location, browsing activity, search history, device settings


Renters Only

  • Driver's license details

  • Rental booking information and preferences

  • Vehicle usage during rental (mileage, charging, location)

  • Damage reports and photos


Hosts Only

  • Vehicle registration and ownership documents

  • Vehicle details: make, model, year, condition, charging specs

  • Insurance information

  • Bank account details for payouts

  • Earnings and performance ratings

  • Availability calendar and rental rates


How We Use Your Data

For All Users

  • Provide and manage your account

  • Process your requests and transactions

  • Provide customer support

  • Comply with legal requirements

For Renters

  • Process and confirm your bookings

  • Arrange vehicle pickup and drop-off

  • Monitor vehicle location and usage for safety

For Hosts

  • Calculate and process your earnings

  • Manage payouts to your bank account


Who We Share Your Data With

We only share your data with:

  • Payment processors to process transactions

  • Insurance providers for policy verification and claims

  • Vehicle registration authorities for verification

  • Other business partners necessary for service delivery

  • Legal authorities if required by law

We will not sell your data to third parties. Partners must protect your data according to this notice.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided data, contact us at privacy@wattz.my and we will remove it.


To rent: you must be at least 21 with a valid driver's license. To host: you must be at least 18 and verify vehicle ownership.


Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this notice to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will:

  • Post the updated notice on our website and app

  • Update the date at the top

  • Notify you by email or app notification of major changes
