Wattz Mobility Sdn. Bhd. (SSM Registration No. 202401030182 (1576031-V)) and our related companies ("Wattz", "we", "us", "our") respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal data when you use our website and mobile application for peer-to-peer (P2P) electric vehicle (EV) rentals.
We comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). By using our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
"Personal Data" means any information that identifies you or could identify you, including sensitive personal data such as health data, identification numbers, and financial details.

We process personal data in accordance with the seven principles of the PDPA:

4. What Data We Collect
All Users
Personal details: name, ID number, nationality, address, date of birth, gender, photo
Contact information: email, phone, mailing address

Usage data: location, browsing activity, search history, device settings
Renters Only
Driver's license details
Rental booking information and preferences

6. Accounting Integration: Intuit QuickBooks
We integrate with Intuit QuickBooks Online to manage our internal business accounting. This integration concerns our own company financial records and is used to operate Wattz as a business.
What QuickBooks data we access: We access the following data on a read-only basis:
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Profit and Loss (P&L) reports
How we use it: Solely for internal bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliation, and business management. We do not use QuickBooks data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to our internal accounting.
How it is stored: QuickBooks data is accessed via Intuit's authorized API and processed within our secured systems. We store only the financial data necessary for the purposes above, in access-controlled environments.
How it is protected: Access is restricted to authorized personnel, transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), and protected by the technical and organizational safeguards described in Section 9.
We do not sell QuickBooks data. We do not transfer or disclose Intuit/QuickBooks data to third parties except as required to operate the integration or as required by law.
Our use of information received from Intuit APIs adheres to the Intuit Developer Terms and Intuit API Terms of Service, and we limit use of that data to the scope described here.
7. Who We Share Your Data With (Disclosure)
We share your data only with:
Payment processors to process transactions
Insurance providers for policy verification and claims
Vehicle registration authorities for verification
Background check and credit agencies
Other business partners necessary for service delivery
Legal authorities if required by law
We will not sell your personal data to third parties. Partners are required to protect your data consistent with this Policy and the PDPA.
8. Cross-Border Data Transfer
Where personal data is transferred outside Malaysia (for example, to cloud or service providers such as payment processors or Intuit), we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with the PDPA.

Transaction data: kept for 7 years for tax and legal purposes
Usage logs: kept for 12 months
QuickBooks/accounting data: kept for 7 years to meet tax and statutory accounting obligations
We delete data when no longer needed, unless legal requirements require retention.

We take reasonable steps to keep your personal data accurate, complete, and current. You can help by keeping your account information up to date.

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

13. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided data, contact us at privacy@wattz.my and we will remove it.
To rent, you must be at least 21 with a valid driver's license. To host, you must be at least 18 and verify vehicle ownership.
