What is RENTFLIX?

RENTFLIX is Wattz’s test-own program. You rent an EV for up to 3 days to experience it on your actual routes. If you decide to purchase through Wattz, you get 100% cashback on your rental fee as downpayment credit.

Anyone curious about owning an EV but unsure if it fits their lifestyle. Whether you’re a daily commuter, a family driver, or just EV-curious — RENTFLIX lets you find out before you commit.

Which EV models are available?

We currently offer the Proton eMAS 5 and Proton eMAS 7 through our partnership with MBf Proton eMAS, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.

How much does RENTFLIX cost?

eMAS 5: RM 320/day (3-day total: RM 960). eMAS 7: RM 420/day (3-day total: RM 1,260). This is only RM 40/day more than a standard rental — but with the cashback benefit.

How does the 100% cashback work?

If you purchase your EV through Wattz within 30 days of your rental, 100% of your RENTFLIX rental fee is credited toward your downpayment. For example, a 3-day eMAS 7 rental (RM 1,260) becomes RM 1,260 off your purchase.

What if I don’t want to buy?

No strings attached. Simply return the car at the end of your rental period. You only pay for the rental experience — there’s zero obligation to purchase.

Is insurance included?

Yes. Every RENTFLIX rental comes with comprehensive Allianz insurance coverage. You’re fully protected throughout your rental experience.

What happens if there’s an accident or damage?

Contact our support team immediately. Your Allianz coverage handles the claim process. A damage excess may apply depending on the incident — full details are provided at vehicle handover.

How do I charge the EV during my rental?

Charge at home using a standard wall outlet (slow charge) or visit any public DC fast charger (20% to 80% in ~30 minutes). We’ll provide a charging guide and recommended stations at handover.

What’s the range of the eMAS models?

That’s exactly what RENTFLIX is for — to find out the real-world range on your actual routes. Manufacturer specs are one thing; your daily commute, driving style, and A/C usage are another. Live with it and see for yourself.

How do I book a RENTFLIX rental?

Click “Book RENTFLIX” on our website. Choose your model (eMAS 5 or eMAS 7), select your dates (up to 3 days), and complete your booking. Our team will confirm your reservation.

Where do I pick up and return the car?

Pickup and return is at MBf Proton eMAS, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. Our team will walk you through the vehicle handover and condition check.

What documents do I need?

A valid Malaysian driving license (or international license for foreign visitors), your IC/passport, and a credit or debit card for the booking deposit.
