ChargEV swapped two AC points for one 60kW DC unit, and it charges less per kWh than ChargEV's other 60kW sites we found.

TL;DR
The new ChargEV DC charger at The Curve gives up to 60kW for RM1.30 per kWh, according to SoyaCincau.
That is RM0.10 per kWh below ChargEV's 60kW units in Gemas, Kuala Kangsar and Johor Bahru in June 2026.
Leave the car in the bay for more than 20 minutes after the session, and ChargEV bills RM0.50 for every minute, SoyaCincau reports.

What did ChargEV install at The Curve?
Look for Pillar S6 on basement level B1 at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. That is where the new ChargEV DC charger stands. SoyaCincau reports one Autel cabinet with two CCS2 plugs and a 60kW peak. It takes the place of two older AC points. You do not need the ChargEV app to plug in here. JomCharge and Gentari Go users can start a session too.
The list rate is RM1.30 per kWh. Launch-week users who typed CRV26 into the ChargEV app paid RM1.04 per kWh, which is 20% off the list rate. That offer ended at 11pm on 04 Oct 2026. The report does not state how the 60kW peak is shared when two cars plug in together.
Is RM1.30 per kWh cheap for a ChargEV DC charger?
For ChargEV, yes. Three ChargEV sites that opened in June 2026 (Gemas, Kuala Kangsar and Aeon Mall Tebrau City in Johor Bahru) listed their 60kW units at RM1.40 per kWh, SoyaCincau reported. Tebrau also got a 180kW unit at RM1.60.
ChargEV is not alone in this car park. ChargeSini and Carput Zap run DC units here too. In a 01 Sep 2026 price check, SoyaCincau found the ChargeSini unit at this mall rated 47kW and priced at RM1.30. Same rate, lower peak. That check is a month old, and ChargeSini rates moved site by site in September.
What does a top-up cost, and how long does it take?
Here is our arithmetic, for a 30 kWh top-up:
Charger | Price per kWh | 30 kWh cost | Best-case time |
|---|---|---|---|
ChargEV, The Curve (60kW) | RM1.30 | RM39.00 | 30 min |
ChargeSini, The Curve (47kW) | RM1.30 | RM39.00 | 38 min |
ChargEV 60kW, June 2026 sites | RM1.40 | RM42.00 | 30 min |
The time is 30 kWh / 60kW = 0.5 hour, and 30 kWh / 47kW = 38 minutes. These are the shortest possible times, at full charger power for the whole session. Real sessions take longer.
What does this change for owners nearby?
What changes for a shopper is how fast the battery fills. The bill per kWh barely moves. By our table, a 30 kWh top-up at full power takes about the time of a quick lunch.
The trap is the idle fee. At RM0.50 per minute after the 20-minute grace period, each extra 10 minutes costs RM5 (our arithmetic: 10 x RM0.50). A 30-minute overstay past the grace period costs RM15, which is close to 40% of the RM39 top-up. Renters and new owners can find more basics in our Tesla charging guide for Malaysia.

Hafiz's take
Two AC points out, one DC unit in. That is like a mall swapping two slow kettles for one espresso machine. The inevitable flaw: two nozzles share one cabinet, and nobody says how the 60kW splits when both are busy... Owner tip: set your car to stop at 80%, and set a phone alarm for the end of the session. The car finishes the fast part of the curve, and you finish before the idle meter starts.
